There is a bug in the TOVA that affects some non-English systems, such that the text of the English instructions is replaced by rectangles. If you encounter this issue, you can replace a single file on your PC, `ui.jar`, to fix the problem. Please do the following.

NOTE: THIS FIX IS ONLY INTENDED FOR VERSION 8.2-202.

On Windows:

1. Download http://temp.tovacompany.com/instruction-patch/ui.jar to your Windows desktop or some other known location on your system.
2. Open a Windows Explorer window to `C:\Program Files (x86)\tova_8\ext\` (leave out the single quotes). The easiest way is to press Window + 'R', paste the path into 'Open:' text field, then click 'OK'. You will see a lot of different files listed there.
3. Drag and drop `ui.jar` into the Explorer window. When Windows asks you if you want to replace the `ui.jar` that is already there, choose "Move and Replace".
4. Run the TOVA and try the English test instructions again. They should work as designed.
